Overview:
World Workplace took place in Denver Colorado, USA October 7-9, 2015. It was a great experience for all those who attended and took back  learnings from others withintheir peer group of consultants and from many experts in the Facility Management field. . However, not everyone among our FMCC membership could find the luxury of time to attend this global event. Therefore, this webinar’s objective is to share the experiences of the attendees at WWP 2015 at Denver.
After the WWP 2015 the FMCC Board and STAG have initiated several initiatives in order to bring value to the members and to reach the vision “… to be the resource and voice for Facility Management Consultants worldwide to leverage our collective expertise to benefit IFMA members and the Facility Management profession”. Some of these initiatives will be discuss in this webinar.
These webinars will give you a brief overview of WWP 2015 many of the activities and the chance to design our further strategy of FMCC.
Learning Objectives:

  1. Share what we learned about anything new in the field of FM which we did not know about
  2. Share what we learned about anything new in the area of new technology
  3. Share what we achieved as part of networking – e.g. Clients/Potential Clients
  4. Share what we think we may have spotted as Opportunities for our business and how do we capitalize on these opportunities
  5. Get an overview about events and activities by FMCC Board and STAG

[Val Moraes]

Teena Shouse

Teena Shouse, CFM, IFMA Fellow

Teena has more than 27 years of facility management experience. Her primary expertise includes Project Management, Business Process Improvement, Sustainability in Facility Management, staff development, outsourced contract governance, capital planning and budgeting, and operations & maintenance.

Before joining Facility Engineering Associates, she was Vice President of Strategic Partnerships with ARAMARK, where she oversaw collaborative strategies.

Prior to ARAMARK, Teena was the GM of Employee Services at Sprint for 18 years. She was part of the design and construction team that researched, planned and built the 4.2 million SF campus in Overland Park, KS. As GM, she was involved in all aspects of campus operations from day-to-day operations to retail services.

She creates and teaches Facility Management and Sustainability courses for IFMA and FEA, and is a guest speaker at numerous North American and International conferences and universities.

From 2005-2007, she served as the Chair of the IFMA Board of Directors. She is the immediate Past Chair of the Global FM Board of Directors, a global federation of FM organizations based in Brussels, Belgium.

David Reynolds, MS, FMP, CFM

David Reynolds is an FM consultant based in Mississippi, in the U.S. His involvement in FM arose out of work in engineering, operations, and related information technology. He has a lifelong interest in how people experience the built environment. He began consulting in offshore oil field and inland marine transportation during the 1990s, building teams that streamlined and transformed production processes. He has continued in technical operations and project management roles since, concentrating exclusively in FM since joining IFMA in 2002. He earned the CFM in 2014.


Helping FMs to gauge, interpret, and take action in order to make processes reliable, productive, and resilient is the mission of FM-CONSULT-CREATE, his consultancy.
He focuses on FM as organizations adopt asset management principles and practices following ISO 55000, where clear, visible, interactive, maintainable, process and risk models, data, and measurements can better frame FM in organizational strategies and objectives.


Pro bono work includes construction, maintenance, safety, and health. David is also a member of the IFMA Environmental Health and Safety Council.


Geoff Williams

Geoff Williams is the General Manager at Centre for Health & Safety Innovation in Mississauga, Ontario, Canada, where he is responsible for day-to-day operations, business development and corporate strategy development. Prior to joining CHSI, he oversaw the development, implementation and marketing of a Web-based CAFM solution that is currently assisting the daily operations of a wide variety of health care facilities in managing more than 10 million square feet of property. Geoff is on the IFMA board of directors, is the past president and current secretary of the I.T. Council of IFMA, and the past president of the Toronto Chapter of IFMA. In all of these roles, he supports the FM industry at large. He is a graduate of the University of Waterloo’s School of Architecture, holding degrees in both architecture and environmental studies.

Joachim Hohmann

Joachim Hohmann, CFM, Ph.D., MSc, Managing Partner, Consultants Circle

Joachim Hohmann, CFM, Ph.D., MSc is a professor teaching facility management technology at the Technical Universities Darmstadt and Kaiserslautern , Germany. As a co-founder and CEO of Consultants Circle in Frankfurt he provides consultancy in facility management strategy and technology to a wide range of organizations. He served on IFMA’s Board of Directors from 2010 to 2013 and represents IFMA on the Board of Directors of Global FM, Melbourne, Australia.
